Hi all. They finally let me go home on Saturday (some issues with getting my heart rate under control) and I feel pretty good! Drs. Irgau and Wynn did my surgery and were terrific - Dr. Peters saw me the next two days and I have to say you couldn't ask for three better doctors. They were wonderful. I've been walking since I got home on Saturday. Definitely having an issue getting my water in since everything I drink seems like a lead weight. I know I have to try harder - definitely not complaining!!! I'll just keep following the rules and plugging along. Although it's been stressful and an enormous change - I'm so glad I did this for myself and my family. Thanks for all of your support - I'm sure I'll be asking a million questions!!! Gina

Gina, Welcome to the loser's bench. Glad everything is going well. Yes its important to get that fluid in now....Sip it.....Fruit2O is good too. Try things you may not have liked before surgery and you might find you like the tastes now. Be careful with milk sometimes early out it bothers the pouch. Debbie

Hi Gina, and welcome home. I am still having a problems with getting in my fluids. I was always a water guzzler and I can't do that any more and it sticks at times. I am able to drink more now then when I was first home, so that is a plus. Things will get easier as you go along. Keep up with the walking, I walk one mile every morning before I go to work and go to Curves in the evening. I feel wonderful. Keep up the good work and remember if you need us we are just a click away. Deanna

Thanks guys - I really appreciate your support. I will try the Fruit 2O - I need to find something that works. I've been walking a lot so I guess I'm on the right track. I'll keep in touch! Going for a walk now to kill some time - the days at home are dragging - not used to being home all day! Gina

Gina So glad you posted. Glad you are home, sounds like you are doing well. I remember the water being a problem, too. I used to guzzle before surgery, afterwards had to pu**** in. One hlepful hint is to keep the water bottle in your hand if possible. This helps you remember to keep sipping on it. I was putting it down and not sipping and then trying to get it in all at once. Holding the bottle helped for me. Questions welcomed here! Dianne
