Elissa, You have an idea there....Perhaps I should bring another post op with me....What will she say I can't have a post op supporter from another program at this meeting? Although the more I think about it the less I like the idea of going. Its very disappointing to me. I feel a great loss from this action. Funny thing is I don't think many people at that table knew he was my support person attending this function. Most of them I never saw before that night. I will say one guy knew he was a support person. The Director knew this too..... They are a Center of Excellance for this surgery....hmmmm support stuff seems to be lacking big time. I did voice my opinion and she shared her thoughts. I guess we agree to disagree. And I am okay with that. You are right there are plenty of other meetings and I have always enjoyed the DE meetings alot. I have a new family with you guys and do enjoy you all. Its so nice to walk in a room and have everyone smile and say hi to you and ask where you have been when you miss a meeting! Who needs Philly....I got DE! Hugs and Fleece Blankets, Debbie PS. Enjoy North NJ!

Debbie, They are the real losers here. Spouses and family are always welcome at every meeting I have attended. You are so lucky to have Tim by your side at the meetings, gym , ect. I would love for my husband to attend meetings. I think family members are such a great addition to our groups. I am so proud of you for taking your stand. You are a true star and will always shine. See you lighter. Joanne

Debbie, I am going to have to get my husband to come to one meeting with Tim. I think it might make him understand more. Since my husband has never had a weigh problem he has so much to learn. He is very supportive in everything I do but does he understand my struggles? I don't think so. I don't think he even has the slightest ideal. I was always very good at handling my struggles on my own and not sharing them as many of us have done. Take care! I'm going to have to take a trip to a meeting in Wilmington sometime soon. It is so nice to see everyone. See you lighter. Joanne
