I can't seem to get warm. It has only been two weeks so I don't think that a friends idea that I was loosing weight would cause me me to be cold holds much water. I know that it will come but this soon? My hands and feet stay cold. I walk around the house with ski gloves on. Any Ideas? Am I normal? Thanks again! Gary

Gary, I had my surgery on 4/3 and I haven't been able to stay warm either. I haven't had this problem in a few years. I am just cracking it up to the surgery and the weight loss. I don't walk around in ski gloves but I have a blanket with me at all times. Good luck and keep warm. Deanna

It will definitely happen. But keep in mind as well, that cold extremeties can be a sign of mild dehydration . Keep the fluids going and join me as i "will" summer in! Gigee

Hi Gary. From another guy's point of view, I was cold for a long, long time. I still notice that I tend to be more colder than when I was heavy. In fact, I never wore a knit hat until this year during the winter and I also wore gloves, a full wool coat and scarf to boot if thats any consolation to you. In fact this morning (Sunday) we came home from church and l turned on the heater in the living room just to get warm and it got to a balmy 80 beofre l really noticed it at all. I had my surgery 13 months ago and have lost 266 pounds that quickly and all of this is normal from what everyone says. Hope that helps. Joe Hutter Dover, DE

Gary, Oh are you normal. Or this is the new normal Gary. Say goodbye to hot flashes & sweating!!!! Hello warm fleece blankets, comfy socks, gloves, heating pads and blankets. Loosing weight and the fat insulation that used to keep us warm is the culprit. Not a bad trade off. I hated sweating anyway. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hey Gary, I walk around the house with Nike runners gloves on. The trick is to layer and remind yourself that you are much healthier now. I just keep remembering the before picture where I was wet with perspiration in January. I do like the thinner, drier me. The cold and the gas are the only downsides of this journey that I cna see. 90 degree days are on their way
