My problem is finding a surgen that will do this for some one that is 62 yrs. old.Please if you know of someone let me know. TY

Hey, Catherine, If I remember correctly from the seminar with the CHRIAS doctors last summer, they will only do RNY (gastric bypass) on patients under 55. I know some patients have been older than that and got a lap band, but I'm not sure if there is an age limit. I would definitely call & see if you can get in the next seminar, if you are interested. Hi Fran, thank you for getting back to me.I don't think I'm going to have very much luck. I did find some drs.in Maryland that do the sugery untill 65 or 70 but then you have the insur. problems. I wish I knew about this when I was younger.

Why dont you try the Barix Clinic in Langhorne PA. http://www.barixclinics.com/ Not sure if they do, but it cant hurt to try. Thats where I had my surgery 15 months ago. Gastric Bypass is the only thing that they do,

Different doctors set different limits, I work with 2 gals who are 58-60 who both had bypass surgery, Dr Irgue sets 55 years old as the limit for gastric by-pass, I'm 58 and could only have the lap band, which is fine. I'm 2 days banded. Call the different surgeons and see what limits they have...Linda
