Approval Question

How long does it take to get approved with BCBS of DE? I finished all of my consults over a week ago but don't know when anything was sent in. I saw Dr. Irgau on Wed. & he didn't seem to worried about it, but I only have a very narrow window of opportunity. I was very discouraged not to hear anything by today. But I'm happy for all of you who have your approval, even though your dates are after mine.

It took BC/BS about 7 to 10 days for approval of my surgery. Hope that you wont have any problems getting approval. Sharon ObesityHelp Support Group Leader

Hi, I had my surgery 2 years ago. I also have BCBS of de and they approved me right away. But Dr.Irgau's office didn't let me know right away and I was getting worried. Keep calling his office and try to talk to the same person so everytime you call, ask for that one person. I had went to his office right before my sugery for my last check up. Dr. Irgau didn't know if I was approved or not. I told him I need to let my work know as soon as possible so he talk to one of the girls their and here i was approved a while ago. Anyway, BCBS is good about approving, but I know the feeling of waiting. You just want to here them say " your Approved!". And you will. Good luck in your journey. Bobbie
