returning to work dilemma...
Morning guys! How's everyone doing? I'm having a dilemma I've been debating in my mind for a few days now. This Thursday I'll be 3 weeks out. I had some nausea and vomiting complications and my dx is waiting until my one month point to decide if he wants to take my gall bladder out since I've been having probs with it...ok..to the point. I feel really good except for the mild problems the gall bladder's causing and am considering asking if I can go back to work for a few hours a fews days a week? I deliver pizza (don't ask...long story) but he was concerned getting in and out of the car would cause me problems prior to surgery. I'm going crazy at home and part of it is that my 3 year old nephew is here driving me crazy because everyone feels that if I'm not working I'm at their whims. I also am not bringing in any money now and although I saved for this (surgery happened a month quicker than planned) and am ok financially it's still in the back of my head that if I have to wait another week to find out if the gall bladder's coming out (a pretty sound yes) that will take me out of work even longer which my doctor doesn't seem quite understand that the waiting and not knowing isn't easily recieved. Sorry don't mean to vent but it's really adding to me wanting to get the hell away from my family and house!!!!! Ugh! Anyways...the question of the moment is...am I just pushing it and crazy for asking the DX for clearance or just stir crazy?
Sunny, the good thing with gall bladder surgery these days is if you have it done laproscopic your recovery time is not that long. I had mine on a Thursday and was back to work that Monday. The only thing I had was a little tenderness in the stomach area when my desk hit my belly. Other then that I was fine. I wish you luck.
