Okay I have done so much thinking that I think the brain is fried. So I guess the first B for me is brain. I try and keep it healthy with good thoughts and feed it properly. I don't always stay on track but I have buddies here that will pick me up and put me back in place. As you can see this has lead me to another B.....Buddies! Attending support groups has opened my eyes to many things. And my Buddies that I have made through this journey are truly special to me! We learn from each other and that is what really helps me. Sometimes I don't always agree with something they do for themselves but I do rationalize why a person is doing something then I think....will it help me? Can I modify what they are doing to help with my journey? What works for one person does not always work for another and the majority of us out here already know that but sometimes we need a reinforcement. So feeding our Brains good healthy thoughts will be part of our success. Okay I got greedy with this post and took two words.....ITS YOUR TURN. What does B stand for you? B is for blankets. Pre- WLS I barely could stand a skimpy nightie touching my post menopausal hot flesh. Well as you post ops know this too will change. I now sleep with flannel pj's, 2 warm blankets and a heavy comforter. Still not warm. I sometimes sit with a heating pad on my lap, to keep my hands warm. Hugs & Fleece Blankets Elissa

I will buy that...Blankets have been my best friend too! Cold is the feeling these days although last week or so I haven't been as cold as I use to be....I wonder does that mean the body is catching up to the loss? Hugs and Fleece Blankets Debbie

"B" stands for "b"est... "B"ecause these are the "b"est of times. It's so great to be able to look forward to something, rather than always figuring out how to get out of something. Your Busy Bouncing Bad Boy, Rob DE Obesity Help Chapter Lead

All day long I was trying to think of what B stands for...well, I got it. B stands for BONES. I forgot I had some of them. It is nice to see my collar bones and actually feel my rib bones when I lay down at night. Before all the fat was covering them. On the other hand, my butt bones hurt now when I sit for too long. All the padding is gone Will I ever by happy ? Ellen

Ellen, I can definitely relate to the butt thing! Bones is a good one....and now people can see them after surgery. They are nice to see and feel. But I do miss the butt padding. I just move all around these days when sitting....sometimes it takes forever to find the comfortable spot! You'll be happy soon I saw it in my crystal ball! Hugs and Fleece Blankets Debbie

Hi Debbie, I was going to say B was for balance, but I still haven't resolved the balance thing yet. So I'll say B is for BREAKFAST. I never ate breakfast before WLS. I hated it. Now I eat it every morning, without fail. Always the same thing. My oatmeal. But I have found that it really is the most important meal of the day. It gets me started and keeps everything working the way it should. I'm glad I've finally joined the Breakfast Club. God bless, Faye
