I have a date and barring any insurance problems, I will become a real loser on the 12th of April. I have been lurking on sevral other boards and now I wnat to come here and ask. What eating regimen did you foollow 1-3 weeks post-op? I have even been to the food board. I would really like some time saving recipes that have flavor for the pureed stage. I have purchased my food processor/ blender combinantion and am ready to hit the button. I just need some imaginative ideas. As always, thanks in advance! Your wisdom, friendliness, and caring are an inspiration to me and to others whom May never post here. Gary

CONGRATS!!!! I look forward to you joinging us on the losing side! I'm a week out from surgery and am still experimenting with diet myself and yesterday was sent back to liquids only (rare) but I've done chili and split pea soup which are both yummy and high in protein. Good luck! sunny

My saving grace was refried beans. I would spread a couple of tbsp out on a plate, then sprinkle some cheese on top. 40 sec. in the microwave and zap I have dip! I just didn't eat any chips. Also I would puree chili (any kind that you like, even Wendy's). I boiled up a bunch of chicken breasts too then cut them up and froze them with a little broth. I would just thaw them in the microwave and puree them with the broth and sometimes a little BBQ sauce for extra flavor. I was also big on pureeing ground beef with tomato sauce. I also ate lots of yogurt and apple sauce and of course my nectar protein drinks.
