anyone out there have this surgery in 1998-??
Maria,
Sorry to hear about the problems you are having from the first surgery. Seeking a revision is something I am not familiar with but this board has a section in the interests area for revisions. I am sure you could get some feed back there. I have not met anyone that has had a revision down here. I did met a few up in Philadelphia's support meetings. I hope you get the help you need.

I did a Google search for Dr. Roy Smoot and this is what I came up with, I'm not sure if this is the one your looking for but it's worth looking into:
Dr. Roy T. Smoot

Yes...he was my surgeon for my RNY but I stopped seeing him when his partner disregarded my calls and told me that I had gas pains. I ended up getting sicker and had emergency bowel surgery at Beebe hospital. AFter that, he didn't want to see me because I had another surgeon work on me. Like it was my fault or something..
Maria,
If you are moving back to Delaware the best is Dr. Gail Wynn. Her colleages and staff are the best of the best and I can promise you that you will love her. She is with CHRIAS and the website is CHRIAS.com. You should check her out. I have a few freinds that had their surgery done by that doc in Seaford and they ALL have had issues of some kind. Hmmm ever thought why he left Delaware? Maybe someone should research that one...Anyway..call the office # 302-892-9900 and see what they can do for you.
Good luck
Kathy
