Does anyone have Amerihealth Insurance?

Has anyone had to go through 3 months of physician supervised weight loss before they can submit to the insurance company? I was told this is something new and many of the insurance companies are making this a requirement?

I have Aetna, I had to do a 3 or a 6 month program. I went to PRMI and completed a 6 month program. I have a surgery date for the end of March I am just waiting for insurance approval. Good Luck

Thanks David and good luck with your surgery. I am just a little down because if my insurance had told me this in January I would be almost done with the 3 month thing now. And more than likely have been scheduled as well. Now I will have to wait at least until July or maybe August to get the operation done and have to loose another summer. But on the brighter side again best of luck to you.
