HOW HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED?
This was a post from Melissa on another board. I thought it would be interesting to do it here.
HOW HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED SINCE HAVING SURGERY?
My changes...
1. I can take nice long showers and enjoy them.
2. I can walk around the block.
3. I can go shopping without having to use an electric cart.
4. I have much more energy.
5. I can take care of my partner when she needs me (like this weekend when she was sick) instead of her always taking care of me.
6. I can do dishes and take out the trash and clean my own bathroom without having to sit down several times while doing it.
7. I can enjoy this beautiful weather we are having.
8. I can fit better in chairs.
9. My back and legs don't hurt as badly.
10.I am more comfortable wherever I am.
11.My family and friends are proud of me.
12.I am proud of myself.
13.I can get up out of a chair or couch easier.
14.I can get in and out of the truck easier.
15.I feel more self-confident.
The amazing thing is that I still have so far to go, and I can't wait to see what other wonderful changes await me. Thanks Melissa! I think I will copy and past this in my profile.
Big Hugs,
Rosa
I focus on me a little more than I use to. I guess its the hardest thing I have ever done...pay attention to me!
My clothing sizes are smaller and I don't have to pay a fortune to have something look nice on me.
I like to be around people. I was so miserable when I was heavier and I put a lot of distance between me and others.
I feel like there are still things that have to change and I hope that I can keep making them to better myself.

Let's See!!!!
My Changes......
***#1 reason is that I can look at myself in the mirror and like what I see. This was a struggle for me before surgery.
2. I enjoy going places and I walk around with my head high instead of feeling like everyone is looking at me.
3. I enjoy my kids a lot more. I do not feel like I am embarrassing them anymore.
4. None of my clothes fit anymore. They are all TOO BIG. This is wonderful. You know all those clothes in your closet that you hung onto when you lost weight. Well, All those clothes are TOO BIG too. Never thought that would happen.
5. I feel FANTASTIC about myself. No more depression and feeling sorry for myself.
6. My relationship with my husband is even BETTER now than ever.
7. I can ride the amusement park rides with my kids.
8. I can fit in chairs and have plenty of room to spare.
9. I can take a bath in my bathtub and be comfortable. (this is wonderful).
10. I CAN SAY GOODBYE TO THE OLD JULIE BECAUSE SHE NO LONGER EXISTS ANYMORE. I AM THE TRUE ME!!! NOW THAT I HAVE PEELED OFF MY 110 POUND SHELL!!!!! YES TO ME !!!!!!
Thanks Rosey!!!!! That was very therapeautic!!!1
Smiles!!!

Hi Rosa,
It's been 2 years since I had my surgery, down 100 lbs. I now weigh 175, i would like to lose 15 more, but I'm not complaining. Well, their are many changes, this one is the one I thought of first. I stop at WaWA about 3 times a week and in the past year I've had someone hold the door open for me. This sounds small but this Never happen when I was over weight. Small or large changes they all add up. We all have a second chance at life. Hugs Back, Bobbie
