I would just like to say thank you to everyone for their well wishes and kind words since I have started my journey. I am now on the loosing side and have had only a couple of issues. I was allergic to the pain med they gave in the pump. It wasn't morphine but the one that starts with "D" and oh my it made me itch so bad I almost went nuts. But once that calmed down I have been good. I have been having some muscle spasms in the area where my drainage was but I get through it. I will keep you all update on my progress. Again thank you for all your help I am sure I will be needing lots more of it. Hugs and Kisses Kathy

Hi Kathy, Welcome home and to the losers side! Glad all went well. I am the opposite. I can take the dilaudid, but I have a terrible itchy, sweaty, miserable reaction to morphine. Funny how we are all the same yet so different. Linda

Oh my... it was probably dilaudid or demerol. The last ER visit they gave me demerol in my IV and my veins turned bright red... it was freaking me out cuz I felt like ripping my skin off it itched so bad. They gave me some benadryl and that helped sooo much! Good luck with everything... and remember to put that med on the NO-No list!!
