Anybody know of a high dose Iron supplement that is good for bypass patients. I need to take at least 300mg every day. Right now I'm taking 2 SlowFE's and crushing them with my applesauce or yogurt. I really don't want to have to keep doing that. Is there a high dose liquid that I could take?

Dineen, I have found something that has saved me! I have had anemia pretty bad since surgery..and was about to get iron transfusions..but the doctors put me on Repliva 21/7...and its awesome! It a strong dose of iron daily for 21 days and then 7 days of plecibo..(kinda set up like the birth control). Its prescription..but worth it. It looks big..you can cut the pill..but I'm able to swallow it now..with now problems..but my iron is finally in the normal range. Good luck! Kimberly
