I was wondering if any of you feel it is necessary to get a medical ID bracelet and if so, what have you had engraved on it? I would like to get one, but I'm not sure what I should have engraved. Thanks for your help. Big Hugs, Rosa

Hi Rosa, I have worn one for 2 years now. I never take it off. I got mine from www.laurenshope.com. Mine reads: Gastric Bypass 3/04 No NG Tube No NSAIDS/ Aspirin No Sugar Dr. Irgau 302.892.9900 This was the latest information to include on a bracelet as per the doctors office a year ago. Nicki had made a post with the guidelines on it. Linda

I just went to CVS drug store. They have one that was about $10. I opened it up and put in a piece of paper that said RNY , no tube w/o scope, No NSAIDS, must carry water. I figured this would be o****il I find something I like. Sandy

Rosa, www.laurenshope.com has some nice ones. I also like the ideal of the one you put your information inside. I had one of these before and got my name ingraved on it. There is someone in the camden support group who makes them. She will design whatever you want. I don't have one yet either and really need to get it soon myself. Good luck on whatever you decide. I DO THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO WEAR ONE !!!!! See you lighter. Joanne

I actually ordered one before my surgery so I would have it. I got mine at http://creativemedicalid.com/home and love it. It was not as expensive as some other sites. I love it and so many have commented on how pretty it is (not knowing it is an med id bracelet).

Rosa I got my before the my surgery. I got most of the recommended information on it. I carry the red medical card that we were given in my wallet. It give detailed directions to health care providers incase of an emergancy. Therefor I have a line that says SEE Medical Card. I also have the doc number. All my other information is the same as other people have listed. Carolyn

Rosa, I got two of my bacelets from the same place. I also got a bracelet from Lauren's hope. After 8 months, it broke and I decided to get one that was able to withstand the pool and working out. I have had no problem with them. Jen
