OMG I am FLYING!
Hello WLS family,
I am making the happiest post of my life this morning. I am totally flying HIGH!! I got a call from my doctor this morning. I knew they were running one or two more slides to make sure what was happening with my leg. Well, the last reports came in and he called me immediately to tell me they now think it is BENIGN. That is the best word in the English language today!
Evidently they think it is something called Giant Cell Tendon Sheath, there is a small chance that it could still be malignant, but not much. It also doesn't usually metastisize to other areas of the body. It does have a nasty habit of recurring in the same area. The treatment is the same, I will need to have it removed along with a margin of healthy tissue around it. I might be a bit gimpy and limpy after but that's ok, I'll take it!
I now know exactly what it feels like to be sitting in the electric chair waiting for them to throw the switch and have the governor call. That is one analogy I never thought I'd be making.
I can NOT thank you all enough for your kind words and good thoughts and prayers. I know in my heart that they made all the difference in my outcome. I will not exhale completely until after the second surgery and get the all clear that's exactly what the final dx is, but I'm definitely breathing alot easier than I was! I see the oncologist tomorrow and will know more because they are forwarding the latest results to him today.
It may be raining today but if you look outside, you will see one single ray of sunshine and it's shining directly on MY house for a change! Have a wonderful sunny day of your own.
