Well I am now 15 months out, 105 lbs lighter; went from 3X (26-28 tight) to size normal 12. Have done well. Do dump when I get too full and I eat too much. I was 261 and now I weigh 155 although no one thinks I weigh that much. I do have a very large incisional hernia though. Getting that taken care of in the next couple of months. Went to surgeon and plastic surgeon ( to see if I could get tummy tuck at same time and get it paid for!!! waiting for insurance to approve; if I cant get tummy tuck paid for oh well but I do need to get rid of this softball size hernia!!!) Okay how is it that this far out I'm losing my hair. Someone did tell me at support group that some people don't lose hair until after loss of 100 lbs. I didn't believe her but she was right , in my case. What can I do to make it come back? Any suggestions? When my surgeon asked me what my weight goal was I told him I was fine where I am now but I would want one vane thing. I would like to be 149 lbs. Only because when I get up on one of those scales with the weights that they don't have to move the 50 lb weight at all. They have three of those on the bottom and every time I would get weighed it went up another level until it was up to 250 and going over that!!!!!! I know that sounds stupid but it would be nice. My surgeon thought it was hysterical when I told him that. He said by the time I get the hernia done and maybe the tummy tuck I would probably be there. Wel on that note everything else is great. I would do it again in a heart beat. I will be 60 in Sep and haven't felt this good in twenty years. I can lift, run up stairs, bend, tie my shoes, cut my own toenails etc and its wonderful. And best of all I got a little black dress to wear. I don't know when but I got it. Thanks for all the support and I really do need to update my profile and get another picture. Will do that in the next few weeks.

Nancy....... Wow.....congratulations! I'm from Milford and its good to see someone on here from the southern part of Delaware! Anyway, I was reading your profile and at the end, you said something about you have to deal with the insurance person from your state.........I have BCBS too, and nobody has really said that to me. I have BCBS of Maryland, so do I deal with Delaware if i want surgery in Delaware? It's soooooo confusing....I am just beginning this journey.......I am waiting on a consultation appointment which isnt until May!!!!!!! (I called in January) with Dr. Wynn at CHRIAS.........I am thinking about seeing about BARIX though......it just seems so far away! Did you have to do all of your pre testing up there or could you go local? You sounded as if you liked them up there. Well, take care and keep up the hard work..........it will be sooooooo worth it!!! shaughnessy

Shaughnessy, As you know I had my surgery in D.C. and I have Delaware BC/BS. My bills are sent to Maryland B/C but Delaware B/C pays them. They all work together. I had my test locally. It all depends on what your plan pays. Hope to see you Thursday. See you lighter. Joanne Hammond OBESITY HELP CHAPTER LEADER.

Nancy, Ain't life great!!!! You should be so proud of yourself lady. Not sure what's going on with your hair. It's been awhile too!! I used the Nioxin products for thinning hair and within 4 months it all came back. Thank God. I hope the hernia will be your ticket for the TT. I'm still on the fence about the PS. I still have 25 more pounds to go. Okay, hope to see you and Julie soon. When are you coming up? We really need to do Trader Joe's and Panera's again. Maybe next month???? ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hi Nancy, I am from Milton too! Don't see many folks around here from Milton. Congratulations on all you have accomplished. I had my surgery on 1/24, so I am just at the start of my journey. At this point, I will be happy when I can get weighed on a regular doctor's scale. Keep up the good work! Rosa
