Hi everyone, First let me thank each of your for your kind words and support. It means so much to me and really makes me feel like people are pulling for me and that helps make the difficult parts more bearable. I went for my test today and unfortunately they were unable to complete it. They ran a cat scan and found that it isn't cystic in nature but a solid mass. They told me there's nothing to extract and too dangerous to stick a needle in and potentially contaminate other areas of the body if it is malignant. The docs conferred with my ortho surgeon and decided that I'm to see a musculoskeletal oncologist for evaluation and probable surgical biopsy. The mass is small and so far they say it doesn't look agressive and hasn't invaded bone or muscle that they can tell. Like the good bypass patient that I am, I stopped by Irgau's office on the way home and moved my end of May appt to March 2 so I can have another complete blood work up and keep Dr. Irgau fully informed so he can help me with any impact this may have due to malabsorption issues etc. On a 'lighter' note. Todays testing was SO much easier than it would have been as a pre-op! Even under high stress my BP remained around 122/56! My pulse was in the 60's / 70 range. The gowns and BP cuffs fit and staying still on a narrow table was no problem. If it I do get the bad diagnosis, I firmly belive my having gastric bypass 2 years ago got me in good enough shape to fight it, and fight I will. I'm not ready to go anywhere yet! Love you all much, Linda

Hi Linda, We are not ready for you to go anywhere either! Continue to keep us posted so that we can be a support to you and assist you in any way possible. You are so right about the WLS helping us to be able to fight any battle because we have come so far from what we used to be . May the surgeons skillful hands guide you through any possible surgery and that mass so that nothing remains. I will keep you and your family in prayer and thought. Take care. Prycey Lady RNY 2/2/05
