Nothing you can do except make sure you're getting in enough protein every day. Biotin helps too.

Jo, I lost tons of hair (I had tons to begin with though!) I increased my protein with Profect and Proticcino and it slowed down dramatically. I would up your protein! I have never used Biotin. Take care! Lisa

Joanne, I lost alot of hair and my hair was thin to start with. It will stop. I am 10 months out and am happy to say I have a nice head of hair again. Thicker then before too. Hang in there. This was my worst part of surgery. I'll show you my picture sometime. See you lighter. Joanne Chapter Leader ObesityHelp

Joanne, I'm having the same problem and I asked Dr. Irgau about it last week, he told me to take biotin. He said some take biotin with zinc, but he said he's not convinced that the zinc helps. Anyway, I went to the VitaminShoppe and bought a bottle of 1000mcg biotin lozenges, and I asked the shop manager how many I could take risk free. She told me I could take up to 5 milligrams safely. 1 milligram equals 1000mcg, so I take 5 a day. I just started so I can't say I've seen a difference. Also, other posts on the main OH website say biotin does and does not work, depending on who it is. I think it works differently for each individual. Other than that he said there's nothing else we can do, but it should slow down and stop around the 7-8 month.
