Just got home from surgery
I got home on Wednesday from my surgery. I feel like a Mac truck hit me. I did not have a good experiance with the anasteia. I was dry heaving for about 24 hours. I started to loss faith that I had done the right thing. Thank god Beth from life skills was in the hosiptal at the same time she helped me through it. I must say that some of the nurses at Christiana were great. The unit that was taking care of us had three individual that had gone through this very same experiance. The support and information that they gave made the bad anatesia not seam so important.
This moring I am starting to feel better and am able to keep the eye on my prize. My kids were happy to see me but kept wanted to hug the stomach. I will be going to my parnets for a couple of days just to be able to recover in peace.
Carolyn, Bless you. My roomie had an awful time with the anesthesia. I fight it off, thank goodness. She was dopey and sleepy. Meanwhile I was burning up the floor around the nurses station. Each day will get better. Take the time to hug those babies. You have started on the roller coaster ride of your life. You are sooooo right about keeping your eye on the prize. It is good health and it is so worth it. Ask questions if you need some answers. We'll all try to help. In the meantime keep sipping, walking and breathing. God bless parents and support people. We sure do rely on their comforting hands. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Elissa,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. When I started this all I wanted was to make sure that I see my kids graduate from high school, collage and get married. I will ask question when I need help right now I am just sipping water and chicken broth. I really do not have any desire to eat yet. I guess that is good since I can not. Carolyn
