I HATE THE PMRI....
Well for the 2nd time in 3 months I have been, excuse the expression, screwed over by them. The 1st time came back in Nov when I went to call to set up my Lifeskills classes and was told that their original deposit of $200.00 was changed to $575.00 in Oct. I called today to set up my Lifeskills classes because I got the money to pay the deposit and Judy told me that they have made an "executive" decision and they are not scheduling any more Lifeskills classes or making any other appointments for the remainder of this year. Now today is 2/1, are you telling me that they aren't going to have any more classes until 2007? I am beside myself with angerand frustration. What am I or anyone else who is looking into this surgery suppose to do if our insurance only allows us to deal with Christiana Care. I am so angry right now I could cry. I called Caroline up at Dr. Wynn's office and she is going to go and talk to Dr. Wynn and get back with me on what I need to do from this point on.
St. Francis is NOT an option for me, they are out of network and I would be responsible for 30% of the hospital charges. If I can take their classes and go to Christiana for the surgery that would be great, but I already called them and they told me no.

I can't use St. Francis AT ALL. They are considered out of network and I would be responsible for a ton of money with they that I do not have. Their classes are less, and that is great, but I MUST use Christiana Care. When I called St. Francis before about their classes they told me that if I do their classes the surgery had to be done there and that is not possible for me at all. It is very frustrating, but I can not afford to use St. Francis in the long run.
Thanks for the advise though.

There is another post about this from yesterday. Someone posted that Christiana didn't renew the doctors contract. Something about the nurse-patient ratio. I'm going in to see Irgau tomorrow afternoon and I will be sure to get the scoop. So far it looks like St. Francis Might be your only option for now! I'm wondering if this will affect our aftercare. I'm being monitored by PMRI for low iron right now and am scheduled to go back for new labs & a check up in March. Also will this affect the support meetings? There's one scheduled for this Monday that I plan on going to. Hopefully I will get some answers tomorrow!
