New to this in Dover, Delaware

Just starting this process. My referral is in the system, I've had my physical, chosen my process, and my surgeon. That's where I'm at so far. I am excited but was wondering if anyone else near me is going through this and maybe we can do it together!

Hi Debbie, My husband and I recently had WLS. I did in July and he did in August. We have a support group on the second Monday night of each month at the Friends Meeting House in Camden @ 7 pm. We're here if you need someone to talk to! Lisa

Debbie, I too am just starting the process. I had my initial appointment with DR. GAil on January 6th. Since then I have had my egd,{ doc now wants me to have a colonoscopy) TOMORROW....Cardiologist gave me approval last week. See the pulmonologist tomorrow. Have had the sleep study both with and with out the cpap. Need to call St Francis to schedule classes psych etc. By the way, I live in Odessa and am student teaching in Felton. I am definitely in the area. What a mid life crisis for me. wls and a new careeer at 45. Who woulda thunk it????? Best of luck Gary

Hi Debbie, I too recently had WLS; Dr. Irgau was my surgeon. You'll find that the folks @ CHRIAS are wonderful. They're very caring and compassionate. Some of their staff members are WLS recipients too. My only regret was that I didn't have this done sooner. This forum is also a great place to get answers to any questions you might have, and the support given here is phenomonal!!! Good Luck!!!!! See you at the support group (hopefully!!)!
