Newbie!!!!! (w/a couple q's)
Hi everyone! I'm a newbie in Sussex County. I haven't been able to make it to the Rehoboth support meeting yet as I usually work on Tuesday nights so I've kinda been going this alone so far. I've already had my meeting and check up with Dr. Peters (awesome guy!) and the pulmonologist (Dr. Walsh in Dover--also awesome!!) and have my cardiologist appointment on 1/26 w/ Dr abreccia. This is where I'm running into my troubles. I've had this appt over a month and they call me at 457pm the day before my appt for 2pm to tell me they haven't been able to reach my PCP to get my records...can I call the PCP tomorrow and get them faxed or they can't see me? Do you think they could have waited a little longer to let me know? Grrrrrr... but anyways...Everything else is scheduled and should be done at the latest by Feb 17th depending on Mary Ellen at St. Francis (another amazing patient person). She said if she and I can meet on the 10th (my final thing to get done I could have surgery as early as Feb 24 or 25. What I want to know is if this is realistic? St. Francis has been moving everything along pretty quickly but I thought it would take longer getting insurance approval from Medicaid? IF anyone knows anything about this please let me know! Otherwise, I'm beyond excited even if I'm a little nervous to finally be making progress in the journey! Thanks!!!
Dr. Peters is my surgeon and I agree! Awesome guy!
Absolutely call your PCP's office and tell them that those records have not been received yet and it is imperative that they fax them over. If they are in any way acccomodating you shouldn't have any problem
I am unsure about medicaid so I can't help you with that one.
Best wishes to you!

Gigee...thanks so much for the reply! I called my dx office and apparently the office staff wasn't sure what to fax...so I gave them explicite directions of what to send and to contact me if they have any q's in the future. I understand that they don't do this on a regular basis and can't understand why I needed half a dozen referals! Thanks again!
