 Hi everyone, L...
Hi everyone,
Looks like I'm coming home on Friday. Maybe 1 day in a couple of weeks we can do lunch at Panera's. Let me know if anyone's interested. I won't be driving for 6 weeks so if someone can pick me up that would be awesome. I know I'm gonna be like a prisoner in my house. I am going to set up my schedule to get out often.
God is good. I feel fantastic. Thanks to protein, exercise and determination. I did remember to walk, sip & breathe too. I am no hero, so I'm taking pain meds they are giving me. 2 percasets(cut in 4pieces)with a benydryl every 4/5 hours. Makes me warm & fuzzy all over. . Then I take oxychotin at 9am and 9pm. This seems to be working for me. The darvon and tylenol with codene didn't do anything.
Hey Deb, I found out why I was so warm. The occupational therapist came in and went to the thermostat on the wall and said "Do you want me to turn this down"? It was on 85 degrees. No wonder I was sweating buckets. DUH. Most places have lock outs on the controls. Whoever was here before me must have been chilly. So it's on 70 now and I was able to turn the fan off.
Gotta admit I'm gonna miss this place. They have been so accomdating to me regarding the WLS. People are soooo impressed with my ability to get around so quickly. Part of my therapy today was making brownies and doing a load of wash. (got chocolate on my Lop eared bunny shirt.) Kitchen safety and how to manuver around the kitchen. I picked the brownies cause I don't eat chocolate. Works for me. LOL
See you soon.
Elissa
85 degrees! I am there....Is the bed empty next to you....I am freezing tonight. I bagged the gym just because I am so cold. I hope I am not getting sick. I like your pill ****tails! LOL. Warm and Fuzzy feeling from them too...hmmmm. I am glad you posted. Keep up the good work and you will be in the bike races soon. You are already racing to the finish line with better knees. I am very happy for you!

Hi Elissa,
So glad that you are coming home on Friday. I'll get in touch with you and do lunch with you one day as well. Panara's is my new friend. I call it my new McDonalds or fast food place. When I need a quick lunch it's off to Panara's I go. I love thier soups. The low fat Vegatable is good and their Morracan Lentil soup is the best, although they don't have it very often. We ate there yesterday and I had the vegatable soup with a half of a half of greek salad. The only problem is that crusty bread is soooooooo good. I eat about a 2" square piece of the crust. Gotta not even let it on the tray though. They will give an apple instead of the bread.
Have a great last day in the hospital.
God bless,
Faye

Dana
Hi Elissa,
I'm so glad to hear that you will be coming home on Friday. You are such a trooper and I'd like to be just like you when I grow up . I am starting up my exercise program at the YMCA today so that I can get myself in shape and work on getting my body healthier. I'd love to go to Paneras with you guys but I normally work Monday through Friday so if you guys are planning something for a Saturday I'd be game. Keep the glamour party I'd like to set up for us sexy gals in mind while your recouperating! Anyone who is interested please let me know because I'd like to coordinate something by March at the latest.
