Thanks Joanne, Looking forward to seeing you on Monday and trying that protein shake you promised me. I have to drink more water, that is for sure. When my sugar is up its a breeze, but now that it is low, i don't even think about drinking. Gotta do better with that! Big Hug, Rosa

Rosa, Now is the time to focus on the fact that you have been appoved. It's also a chance for you to get your body in the best shape you can before surgery so you're actually being kind to your body by doing this. It will be so worth it when all is said and done so stay strong. Kathleen

Hi Kathleen, I will stay strong. When I don't feel strong, I will remember everything all my friends at OH have told me and find strength in that. I also plan to do a lot of praying between now and then. Thanks! Rosa

Rosa, The hardest part is the first day or two usually. Likely the reason for the liquid fast is to help to shrink your liver to hopefully help ensure that your surgery will be lap rather than open. Of course they can never promise anything, but they do their very best to help you go lap. When I was on liquids, chicken broth was a life saver for me. All the sweet stuff just didn't get it except for Propel. I lived on propel and chicken broth, and honestly, the hardest part was the middle of the first day ... head hunger hit me then but not near as hard as I had expected. But after that is became so much easier. Almost a high from not eating. It felt good to finally have some control, ya know? Anyway, make sure you get your weight, measurements, and pictures right away ... full, front, side, rear, and close up of your face. On the liquid diet you will start to lose and you will want the pics and stats of you before you lose too much. Stay focused on your reason for the liquids and concentrate on getting yourself ready for surgery and recoup period. Congrats on the approval! Tammy

Hi Tammy, I will get some chicken broth tomorrow. I know I can doctor it up with some good Spanish spices like Sazon to give it a little extra flavor. I have tried some of the products from the surgeon's office, and they have been pretty good. I will also take your advise and get my pictures taken tomorrow. My measurements too if I can find a tape measure thingy. I will keep in mind that these 20 lbs. or so lost will help my surgeon do her job better and give me a better chance at having it lap. Thanks so much for the tips! Rosa
