One year today
This is my one year anniversary and its been quite a ride! Down 101 pounds have lost close to 5 feet in circumference and my BMI is 24.3 Thats NORMAL in medical terms, and I was born a fat baby!!! Never been in the normal category in my life. Still not there psychologically but I revel in my own insanity (LOL)
1800 miles on the road bike!!!
I would like to say thank you to all of my best friends who have helped me on this board and at our support groups with advise and just for being here. An extra large thanks to my "little" brother who has become my personal mentor and concious through the honeymoon part of this journey
Hey can we start collecting all of the websites that we use for recipes and food plans. I have a hard time planning a menu and want to know if any has planners that they use
Dwight...Happy Anniversary...I am sure that there are many more coming your way. I am really happy that you have made it to the land of normalcy and find it a better place. You and Rob have done a great job with biking and other activities. I am happy to hear there are others out here having a problem with food planning....Perhaps Elissa can move this topic up front for the group in 2006 to help us all!
Debbie
Congratulations Dwight!!!!
Happy Birthday!1 I remeber when you came last year and I would never have thought that you would go down 101 pounds. That is amazing. I know that you are very blessed that your health has improved and to actually have a normal BMI is fantastic.
Keep on peddling and celebrate the Goodness of God in your life.
God bless,
Faye
Congrats Dwight,
Happy de-stomach day! You've done great! And this is only year one. Keep fit and the rest of the world will come your way. Just think our mom may have four kids but now she only gets credit for giving birth to three (two and a half maybe?) stomachs.
2006 is going to be awesome so hold on tight!
Your "little" brother.
Rob
By the way, started the 90-minute mini-tri "ride, run, and swim" at the gym this morning. I was crying every moment that I wasn't laughing. t's intense, and swiming is going to be a lot harder without the extra bouyancy.
How right you are ... truly I will never, ever forget the first time I went swimming after losing weight ... never thought about it. Jumped right in and sunk straight to the bottom ... I can not tell you how much this shocked me. I had grown so accustomed to floating without effort in my prior years ... never gave it a second though. My second born used to giggle when we hit the water together ... he said that his mom had built in bouy-bees to help keep her afloat!!! Nuff said!!! BTW - congrats on starting the mini-tri! Can't say it surprises me to see you training for it though!!! Looking forward to watching the continued saga of the ever improving "S" Brothers! I am so daggone proud of you and happy for you both!!!
