re: 2 year update
Hi everyone. Tina and my 2nd year anniversary is on Jan 26th. Yeah!!!
I saw Dr Irgau today and boy is he pleased. My protein, exercise and general health is perfect. NO MEDS. I am on track and still loosing. Lost 11 lbs since Thanksgiving. He said I will still loose if I maintain what I'm doing.
We also discussed my being a kidney donor for my daughter. He said I was in great health and to go ahead with the testing. I shouldn't have any barriers because of my WLS.
Now as for my knees, next week they will both be taken care of at PA Hospital in Philly. I have all my foods ready to bring with me. LOL. God forbide the nutritionist doesn't get informed. Sometimes it takes a couple days to get it right. Rehab will probably be here at Wilmington Hospital. Not sure yet. Will let you all know. He said to make sure the surgeons know that I had Gastric Bypass. Are you kidding that was the 1st thing out of my mouth x 5. The surgeons were highly impressed with my present health and fitness program. It should help speed up my recoup and recovery time. I'll let you know that too.
Gotta go and get ready for the Healthy Beginnings Support Group mtg tonite. Hey Linda, I'll talk to you soon. Miss our conversations. Congrats on the 10 lbs. Go girl.
Tina, Happy Anniversary!! Elissa
Elissa,
Congratulations on 2 years and still losing!! You are such a role model!
Good luck with eating in the hospital ,the 3 days I was in St Francis they NEVER got it right even though the nurses called before each meal! Make sure you bring lots of stuff from home to tide you over.
Keep up this great health and I'll be thinking about you next week. You'll do great!
Love, Kathleen
Happy Anniversary Elissa and Tina!!!
E, I am so happy for you ... you are an incredible person and a true inspiration. I will be praying for an uneventful surgery and a rapid recovery. Should you need any food, protien, etc while in the hospital, give me a call. I can hook you up chickie!!! No need to eat hospital food when you have friends with connections!!!
