Its been so long......
Since I have been on this site. I was an avid reader of all threads for a while. I was going through all of the classes, tests and doctors appts. Then I slacked off. Now I am back and cruising down the the final stretch. I meet with Dr. Lenhard(sp?) on Monday and my surgery has been scheduled for Feb. 7th.
If anyone has any good advice...meal plans or helpful hints, please forward them to me. I am open to all ideas. You can email me at

Have a wonderful and safe day everyone!
My suggestion is to research, research and then research some more. Read all you can about the surgery. Read profiles of others who have gone before you. If you have any questions at all, ask ... someone may have the answer, or at the very least, may be able to offer you a shoulder or ear.
Stick around the board, read and ask questions. Go to as many meetings as you can possibly make it to. You not only get a lot of great information there, but you make friends (if you want) and get tons of support as well as get to see the WLS in action in those around you who have had it.
Here is a link to a tips and tricks page I put up a LONG time ago. I have not read it in a long time, not sure I would even agree with everything in it anymore, but you are more than welcome to cruise through it and hang on to anything that would work for you and throw out all the rest. http://thebrad.com/tammystreasure/html/tiptricks2.htm
CHRIAS is excellent in what they do ... you are in good hands.
Wishing you the best!
