I finally Did it!!!

Hi all. I went to the Y and joined tonight. I have a training session with a trainer tomorrow night. I am going to exercise and swim after my training session. They have free babysitting for 90 minutes. So Cool !!! No excuses now not to exercise. I told you look out world !!! I am getting this 50 lbs off by May. I'm on my 2nd week of the P/B plan. Took off 17 lbs last week. The 13 I gained + 4 more. Oh how life is so good !!!! See all lighter. Joanne

Rosa, They were so nice. I explained about my saggy legs and asked if I could wear shorts over my bathing suit. They put it down as medical and said I could. After you heal you will have to check it out with me sometime. I stopped at Walmart on the way home and bought a new bathing suit. Can you beleive I can actually get one there to fit me? Big Step Joanne! Congratulations! Before you know it, you will be posting about how you enjoy exercise ... I know, I know, but truly it does happen!!! I believe exercise to be key in keeping the weight off long term, not to mention improving our health by leaps and bounds! Keep it up! You are doing fantastic!

My physical theropist told me I love to exercise but will not admit it. She hasn't convinced me yet. I just know I have to do this for me . I feel this is my one chance of a life time to take off the weight before my Tummy tuck in May. I know I have to do things on my own. I am changing because before I would wait for someone to do this with me. I hate to do things alone but I hate this fat more. Who can change that? ONLY ME !!!!! Hey! Want to hear something funny. Which Y? I train at the Western Y 5 - 6 days a week. Not sure I will ever enjoy the exercise while I am doing it, but the results are more than worth the work put in. I have gotten to the point that if I miss a couple of workouts my muscles are sore. Love those endorphins! I think that the side of exercise that no one seems to talk about are the psychological affects. I use it for stress reduction and know that working out has been the one thing that has helped me change both my self-image and sedentary life style. I do a couple of spinning classes a week, eliptical machines and weight training. Thinking about adding power pump and Bosu for some diversity. I started slow and built up your aerobic capacity first ( used the Treadmill and stationairy bike ), then moved to the elliptical machine and Nautilus equipment. Take an adult class when you feel ready. Dont let yourself be intimadated others in the gym. We are all there for the same thing, improving our physiques and lifestyles. Dont over do, if you strain a muscle or hurt yourself early on it will become the excuse you use later not to exercise

Dwight, I go to the Sussex YMCA. I live near Rehobeth. I am going to do the machines 3 x a week and just do cardio the other nights. I think this will work for me. Beleave it or not I really don't pay attention to the people around me when I am there. I do my own thing. I want to go everyday to do something. I haven't joined any classes yet but I will soon.
