Okay guys, here is another recipe that I though you may want to give a go ... I REALLY liked it and hubby (who is not a fan of shrimp) liked it! 1 T light soy sauce 1 T Splenda 2/3 cup orange crystal light (made and ready to drink) 2 T Teriyaki Sauce (I used Kikkoman light) 12 oz Shrimp Put all in ingredients except shrimp in large ziplock bag and shake (after you seal it of course) to mix well. Add shrimp and marinate in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. If your shrimp was precooked, then you can eat it chilled as an appetizer (as if we really do that anymore ). If it was raw shrimp, then steam it until done. I plug in my george foreman grill and heat while steaming shrimp then throw the shrimp on the barbie just long enough to give give it a slight grilled taste. I don't leave it on for very long at all, just long enough to leave the grill marks. This on is a huge hit as far as I am concerned. Usually I just do shrimp steamed with Old Bay. Nice change of pace. Next time I would like to whip up some teriyaki basting sauce or a citrus sauce to baste while grilling. I think that would be the thing that would put this recipe right over the top. Enjoy! Yield 3-4oz servings 24 gms protein per serving BTW - I rarely cook this much shrimp at one time. Usually I just take out one serving and cut the recipe to fit ... but included my family size recipe for those that are feeding more than one. It is an easy recipe to cut or double. It is very forgiving should you run a little high or low on an ingredient. Speaking of shrimp ... poll here ... how many shrimp can you all eat in one sitting??? Just doing a reality check on my food intake to make sure I am not over the top. Thanks!

Hey Tammy, Looks good. I uploaded it to my website so we wouldn't lose the recipe. I can handle six to seven shrimp at a sitting, but I always limit myself to four. Hope everything is well with you and the family. Your bud, Rob

Rob & Ellen, What size shrimp? I can usually eat 3 - 4 oz and then a few bites of brocolli on top of it. I think my last bag of shrimp was sized at 31-40 and that size I could eat 6 - 8 if I remember correctly. I think that was just under 4 oz. Do you all think I should I be concerned??? The reason I asked this question in the first place, is because I know someone who is right behind me in surgery dates that can only eat 2 to 3 shrimp without feeling too full. And here I was eating 3 - 4 oz! Perhaps we could do a comparrison on food consumption for a couple of days to see if I am way off the mark? Things are going pretty good here. Hope things are goind well for you all. We all just had a horrid run in with this years strain of flu. Word of advice ... DON'T get it. It was HORRID. I have not been that sick since way back in the 80's when I was down for a week with severe food poisoning. Take good care of yourselves! Looking forward to seeing everyone ... one day, sooner than later, I hope. Hugs, Tammy

I can eat about 7 shrimp but like Rob, I try to limit myself to 4 which is still a good amount of protein.

Tammy, The frozen shrimp that have about 40 to a pound is what I usually buy. I have eatten 6-7 of them and could have eatten 1 more, but I try not to. When I eat 4 of them it is with something else on the side. Today I could only eat 2 of them because I had a couple of spoons of soup and some veggies with them. They were fairly large and I was afraid to pu**** Without any side dishes I could easily eat 6-7. Ellen

Yeah!!!! Tammy is posting again with her great recipes and her great advice. Thanks for both. This shrimp dish sounds great. I just had shrimp. I ate 5 large shrimp but didn't have any sides with it. That was enough for me. I agree with the idea of posting what we are eating to see where we are in comparison with others. Sometimes I think I eat too much too although when I really look good at it I am not. Today was oatmeal, raisens, pecans for breakfast Lunch: 1/2 pork chop, salad, teaspoon of baked potato ( I managed the one bite rule on this one) Dinner: 5 shrimp Snacks: well, this wasn't as good: package peanut butter crackers, handful of pistachios, a couple of bagel bites with cream cheese Healthy fill ins: Protein hot chocolate, lots of CL iced tea. Tomorrow is my day to make some great lentil soup. God bless, Pastor Faye

Great topic. Here is what I ate today. (FYI, I am over two years out and trying to maintain current weight). Breakfast: Oatmud (my special of 1/4 cup oatmeal, 2 tblsp flax seed meal, 1/4 cup of pumpkin granola, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup light soymilk, 1 scoop of Unjury) Lunch: 4 oz. of shaved filet, horseradish sauce 1/2 cup of salad Dinner: 1/3 cup homemade sloppy joe 1/2 cup of balsamic vegatables 1/2 slice of whole wheat english muffin Snacks: 1 12 oz. Chocolate Butterscotch milkshake (1 scoop choc unjury, 1 tblsp flax seed meal, 5 squirts of Torani choc syrup, 4 squirts of Torani butterscotch, 1/4 cup oatmeal, 1 tblsp of better-than-peanut-butter, 1 cup crushed ice) 1 12 oz. Raspberry milkshake (1 scoop vanilla unjury, 1 tblsp flax seed meal, 5 squirts of Torani raspberry syrup, 1/3 cup frozen raspberries, 1/4 cup oatmeal, 1 tblsp of better-than-peanut-butter, 1 cup crushed ice) 1 container of carb yogurt with granola topping and frozen papaya Plenty of ice-cold water.... and I am sticking to the six meal plan. My normal intake is usually between 1800-2500 calories a day and I'm still losing weight. Go figure? Your bud, Rob By the way, I ran 4 1/2 miles today for the first time in my life. My legs are dead, knees aching, my nose is running, and I feel great. I actually believe that life starts at 50. Enjoy it while you can!

YEAH on the running 4.5 miles! Doesn't it feel wonderful to run? Never, ever thought I would ever find myself saying that. And yet, here I am ... saying just that. And if life starts at 50 then I am just about to embark on the beginning of life All this time I was thinking that life started at 44/45 or something in that neighborhood! About your menu ... uuummmm, it sounds good. Feel like I could go and raid the kitched about now, but likely I will just some more water and then start fresh again tomorrow, concentrating on balancing out my diet once again. About 1,800 - 2,500 cal ... I can only dream. You are doing excellent! Thanks for sharing Rob ... I appreciate it! You guys are really helping me. Truly I didn't realize that my diet today was so lacking until I wrote it down. Guess I would have caught it when I logged it to fitday, but it is not as glaring when the only one who sees it is me, ya know? Hugs, Tammy
