Tis the Friday Roll Call
Yes we are down to the wire with the Christmas stuff.....We finally have to do the food shopping for the great feast. BBQ Pork, Ham, and Chicken are a few of the protein dishes for our holiday dinner. We have lots of growing kids to feed!
I just wanted to take this time and say its been a great year and I am wishing all you a Merry Christmas. I am not sure when it all started for me but I have noticed that its a time where we go over board on things (George Carlin STUFF skit in my mind now)...And I don't think we focus much on the real deal of friendship...its not the gift...its the people and how they affect our lives is what we should be celebrating.
I would like to say its been a real pleasure for me getting to know many of you! You have helped me in so many ways and I do appreciate you being there for me. I am so glad I went down this road. Enjoy your holiday and remember to just thank someone and wish them a Merry Christmas on that special day! It is special! See the smile on their face and appreciate it. Because that is what life is....appreciating what we have and what we can give. What we can give does not necessarily have to come from a pretty wrapped box. Keep the spirit....
Hugs and Fleece Blankets to all,
Debbie
Debbie, How well said. I only wish everyone understood the real meaning of Christmas. I think we have all grown so much in this last year with our thinking. I can only speak for myself but things I use to worry about seem so small now. I think I finally know the real meaning to life and can live it better. I am so glad I took this journey and truely am thankful to all the people I have met along the way who are on this journey with me. I must say I am looking forward to this time next year and seeing where we all are in this journey. To those who are coming across road blocks we truely understand your fight. This time next year most of you will be on the losing side and looking back. Last year at this time I was real upset and hitting road blocks myself. Hang in there, keep your head up and be proud. Take time to do something for yourselve and exercise. Hope all has a wonderful holiday. I am headed up to my unions Christmas Party tonight at Delaware Park. I will see co-workers I have not seen since surgery. Should be interesting. See all lighter. Joanne
