Hi everyone, First, let me thank everyone for the well wishes. It's great knowing that you have people cheering for you. I truly appreciate it. I'm doing better than I expected. The first couple of days are rough. I know you guys want details, so here goes. The first 48 hours are the worst. I had the on-q pain ball and was hooked to a pain pump with daulidid. You can hit the button every ten minutes. I did hit that baby quite a few times for the first two days! It's not so much that the pain is severe, but hard to get up. The stomach muscles are very tight. It's hard to move around with the binder and the drain tubes. Being short doesn't help much. I think we all remember those damn beds. The pain from the arms is not bad at all. Once again, the skin is very tight, so having more than one procedure makes it challenging. My breasts were a breeze, no pain at all. I did have the butt lift as well. I do have tightness in that area. It is very hard to get comfortable sitting down. I am wearing a binder on my stomach and a special bra. I can honestly say the procedure was well worth the pain. I am so thrilled with the results. Dr Danyo asked me if I was ready to see the results. When he removed the bandages from my stomach the tears started rolling. My stomach is so flat, and from what I'm being told, it's still swollen. My hiney bones are so tight, you could bounce a coin from it. lol. Arms look great even with the swelling. My "girls" are just as perky as ever. I can't wait to go to Victoria Secret. Dr Danyo told me he was more than pleased with the results. As a matter of fact, I had several nurses from different floors ask to see my incisions. Word had spread that a gastric bypass person had an extreme makeover and it was unbelievable. lol I did meet other gastric bypass nurses and a couple of people asked me to speak to family members considering the bypass surgery. My pre op picture was passed around the hallways. lol I truly thank Dr Danyo for his talent, professionalism and just general caring. He called me the night before the surgery and asked me if I was ready. He has held my hand thru this whole procedure. I would highly recommend having a consultation from this wonderful surgeon. His whole staff treated me like I was important. I am finally happy with myself. I finally feel worthy. I still may have the thighs lifted in the future. I can now honestly look at myself with pride. I hope to see everyone soon. I should be home for a couple more weeks. Would love to hear from everyone! Love, Deb
