Plastic Surgery in 2 days
Hi everyone.
I'm starting to get nervous about the sugery on Friday at 7:30 am, especially the pain that everyone says will come with getting both the anchor abdominal cut and the brachioplasty. I know it's the right move for me and will eliminate the rashes but I'm still nervous. Any suggestions to calm me down would be greatly appreciated!!!
Kathleen,
Think ahead to the final product...skip the pain stuff...YEAH you know its going to happen but pretend. Go to another place....And if that doesn't help then I can be there for your 7:30 appt. Just tell me where! Lots of luck with the procedures....I look to see the battle scars soon! I am so happy for you. Remember you fought for this.....Keep focused its to make you feel better and healthier. Hugs....and of course a hot taddy!

Kathleen, I am sooooo jealous. You are gonna do fabulous GF. Just do whatever they say, take the drugs to tide you through this. Pain will go away easier than all that extra skin and lbs you have been carrying around the past 20 yrs or more. It will be tough, but then we are there with you. Can't wait to see the new and improved Kathleen. You know I am close, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to call me. 475-0950. Please if I can post your progress, call me or have someone call me so I can let everyone know how you are. We love you. Elissa
Hang in there Lady! I have a couple of friends on another board who just had "the works" and they said the pain is not bad. They said the drains are the worst part about it and they come out in a week or so. The best thing to do is to take care of the pain before it happens (hit that button woman!!!) cause once it's there it's too late.
Can't wait to see you at the next meeting. Be prepared to strip in the ladies room! LOL
Hey girlfriend!
I was a nervous wreck also. Trust me, this procedure is well worth it. The pain is not that bad. It's definately uncomfortable, but very manageable. You just have to get used to moving slowly for a couple of days. The worst part for me was walking and to use the bathrom. I had 5 drains. One fell out last night. The On-Q pain ball works great. You will also be on a pain pump. It's very easy to manage the pain. The hardest part is getting out of bed. It's hard to pull yourself up for the first couple of days.
You are a strong woman. I know you will do well and look fantastic. I say we have a shopping spree after all the swelling goes down.
Best wishes my friend,
Deb
