I was at my sister's last night and she was making homemade bonbons. She is so creative and loves to cook. She wants to make some sugar free and asked me what she could use in place of 10 x sugar. I know of no replacement. Does anyone know of one? If so please post. I sujested she try using half the amount the recipe called for. She also made some peanut butter ones. I looked at that recipe and am going to try to make some of them and add protein powder. I'll let you know how they turn out. See all lighter. Joanne

If you check out www.bariatriceating.com, Susan Maria has several sugarfree substitute products available. Nature Sweet Powder should be a good substitute for the 10x sugar. Be careful because obviously the sugar alcohol that is substituted for the sugar can be a problem for some people. Check out the Steele's site (or lowcarb.com). Steele's makes a white sugar, brown sugar, and 10x sugar substitute (although the 10x is not available at the moment). Hope this helps. Rob...

Hi Joanne, I'm not a baker, but I use Splenda in almost everything that requires sugar and it hasn't let me down yet. Let me know how it works out for you. Rosa
