OT: update on daughter & grandaughter
Some of you knew I became a Mom Mom again on Nov 10 for the 4th time. Baby Abigale was born premature, 30 wks, weighing in at 2lb 6oz. She is still in the neo-natal unit at Christiana. She is doing super and in a mere 3 weeks is already up to 3lb 11oz. Imagine that. They are giving her caffene to stimulate her heart and her feeding. It is working. She is breathing without assistance now too. Bless you God. Looks lkie she'll be home for Xmas. On the other hand my daughter, Andrea, has had a tough time. The Kidney Doc did an ultra sound of Andrea's kidneys Thursday the 17th. They both appear to be damaged. 10% of normal function. Due to the high BP & preclampsia. He did a biopsy of the kidneys to see what the he_ _ is going on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Haven't gotten the results back yet. Andrea is facing dialysis and a kidney transplant in the future. Please keep her in your prayers. Gotta talk to the Dr to see if I could be a good donor. They didn't answer my question when I went with her yesterday to view the video's on the Kidney therapy. Not sure with having the WLS. I do have an appointment with Dr. Lenhard and Dr. Irgau soon. I am so blessed to be healthy so I can help them right now. I have Casey, 9 yr old GD, with me and been dealing with homework and hospitals and my Mom and of course Charlie too. Adrenalin kicked in and the good thing is I've lost another 11 lbs in the last 3 weeks. No time to get bored and do any emotional grazing. I guess I am an emotional, bored eater. LOL.
Life is crazy right now. Keep us in your prayers. Thanks for being there.
I have been trying to stay focused and positive and have been doing my protein shakes every day. However, I have forgotten my vitamins a few times. Keep writing notes to myself. Then I loose the notes.
Love Elissa
Okay you writes and still forget...so that is why I don't do my diary....I would write it and forget! I guess its not a good excuse but after reading your post it came to me! LOL
Glad things are progressing for the baby. Your daughter's condition as long as it is monitored properly can be controlled. There are lots of good Dr's out there. Let them give you all the options before you go on one path. Remember to take care of yourself. You should be number one!

I've been away from the boards for a while (moonlighting now) and didn't know about all of this. OMG Thinking and praying for you and Andrea and the whole family. Hoping sweet baby Abigale gets stronger every day. Wishing Andrea well, too. Tell her I said hi. Is there anything I can do for any of you?
