Friday!! Roll Call
Hello Delawareans!!! TGIF!!! Hope all has a blessed day. What is everyone up to? I have to sort my Brownie Troops Candy Order and get it delivered to parents and wrap some gifts while my grandkids are in school. I have physical Theropy at 2:00 p.m. Good news!!! I looked at my Calandar Book and I don't go to the Dr's until the 19th. That gives me another week to loss that 10 lbs. I'm not getting on the scales until Monday. Wish me luck. Before I click this, Is anyone else doing Roll Call too. Hmmm. Let's see!!!! See all lighter. Joanne
Good Morning Everyone, I am here at work...yuck, again. So far nothing exciting going on here, phones are barely ringing. Tonight I am going to my best friends housse to watch the Nascar awards banquet on TV, we make a night of it. We do this every year, of course this will be on the list of lasts, this will be my last banquet night where I can eat whatever I want. It is funny though when I first started this journey it felt like forever when I said that I wanted to have my surgery in April, and now it is already December. It will be here before I know it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am working tomorrow and church on Sunday. If anyone is in the area of Marshallton United Methodist Church on Saturday around 330pm they are having a community Christmas tree lighting. Millcreek Fire Company will be there with a truck, Santa, Frosty and Rudolph. There will also be caroling and hot cocoa afterwards at the church.

Good Morning Well, prayer really does work. Chloe made it through the night barely coughing which was 100% better than yesterday where she was coughing every 15-30 seconds all day...it was horrible. Of course, she resumed her bad cough when she woke up this morning but she finally got a good night's sleep and so did her mommy. I don't have a fever today but I do feel like I swallowed a razor blade down my throat. I have a call into Barix clinics. Apparantley the dr finally faxed my information for me so I am going to check and make sure it was sufficient this time. If so, that should be my last step before getting a wls date. I am excited.

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend. As for me I'll be working overtime. Santa has to get his toy money from somewhere!!
FYI Last year before I started considering WLS I had been to an ENT doctor. Through him I had my first sleep study and that turned into apnea surgery. Well I am one of the few where the removal of my uvual, tonsils, and tongue base somonoplasy did not work. I still have apnea. Oh well! Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Here's looking forward to my consultation visit in January.
Hey Gary,
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are not alone. I also had the same uvual, tonsil, and somonolplasy surgery back in 2001, which actually improved my apnea from a CPAP setting of 27 down to a 14 setting. Three months after my WLS surgery I went for another sleep study and was told that I no longer have sleep apnea. So I turned in my CPAP (good riddance). Now since I am over 2 years out from surgery, there is not much better than a good night's sleep of a solid 6-8 hours.
Good luck on your consult in January. Keep us in the loop.

Hello I am here.....Robyn so glad to hear that you both had a good nights sleep. I went and got my kids somethings they asked for as their Christmas presents.....and GOD BLESS THEM, the poor boys ages 9 and 10 asked for pillows, alarm clock, PS2 memory card, and a portable cd player that I actually found with a radio for only $20......have to love them. They understand that we can just not afford some of the expensive things right now. But I even got the stuff I picked up for them wrapped. I did laundry, went to Farmers' Market, Walmart, paid bills............that was my day in a nut shell. I think I may take them up on 202 and Silverside Rd. to see if those Christmas Lights are lit up.
