Hello everyone, I was going to post this the other day, but I was having trouble with posting. I could get logged in but that was about all, I could not post. Well on with my questions. How far out was everyone before they could lift a clothes basket without feeling the repercussions (?) at the end of the day? I lifted one the other day, and that night I was at school having really bad pains. Also, my weight loss has stalled, I am so sad about it, I had my surgery on Jan. 25, 05 - I have lost about 95 lbs. The exercise part is hard considering I go to school at night, my gym closed and financial problems. I am not getting in all of my protein, honestly I don't even get in half that I need. I can not do the powder never have been able to and the Isopure leaves a slimy feeling in the top of my mouth. Any suggestions. With all the stress, sometimes it feels like I go back to my old ways of eating. Well enough, I will end and hopefully hear from some people that have some ideas for me Christie

I know what you mean...don't fret about the stall. Its normal for us to stall a few weeks around the 100 lb mark. You know the rules of the pouch and have been living it for awhile....its harder as we get further out and we need reinforcement with the protein and exercise. Walk when you can for exercise. Doesn't have to be 3 miles in a row...break it up in the day. Power Crunch bars are my favorite way for protein. 15 grams a lot of calories but one is good when I need it! Kick in the butt for ya....back off on the carbs....boy they taste good but do not help with the loss.

Christie, What Debbie said! Also, make a list of the protein powders that you have tried and didn't like. Then go on vitalady or bariactriceating.com and order samples of the ones you haven't tried. You really need to get back on track with the protein. Get some of the unflavored Unjury and start adding that to your drinks and foods. How are you doing with your vitamins? Good luck!

as for the stalling part i was always told up your water intake as well as your protein and do more walking for excercise as far as the lifting part that all depends on each persons body as it heals we all have different time frames for healing as for me i couldn't tell since i had 2 hernias removed 3-4 weeks ago but keep your head up you will get past this stall and keep us updated on how you are doing ok your friend vickie

Christie You should definately tell the doc about the lifting and what you feel when you do. I have a hernia, but I never recall pain when lifting a laundry basket -- not even a week out. Good luck Dianne

I'm only 11 weeks out and can carry my 38 lb son (he's 2!) when I have to (but I still try to avoid it since I have a hernia) I'd talk with the surgeon about it though, I don't know what to tell you. I see Dr Wynn again on Wed morning at 8:30, anyone else going to be there for me to say hi to? LOL... I'm glad for the timing of it, I was going to go in to get weighed that day anyway so the family could have the most up to date number available on Thanksgiving... I'm soooo hoping they can see the loss! HUGS Rachel
