Starting down the road

Hello everyone! My name is Gary. I have my first consutlation on January 6th. I then can start the process. I have BCBS/DE. Is there any advice from anyone that has dealt with BC/BS DE.

Some of that depends on the company you work for. As for me, I had no problems. I had no idea when my papers were submitted but I think it was actually about a week before my surgery and I was approved with no problem Best of luck to you Gary! Gary, Things have changed about 360 since my surgery two long years ago. But for me, the office took care of everything and I was ok'd within about a day of the request. I did have problems with all the pre testing and payments being made. I struggled with that ... but others here were able to breeze right through it. Soooo ... my suggestion to you is to keep good records and stay on top of what payments are being made and what your policy states. As far as your first appointment. CONGRATS!!! This surgery has truly changed my life in so many ways. I will forever be eternally grateful for my second chance. Use this time to continue to research, reseach and then research some more. Quite honestly, I don't feel we can ever learn too much about how to take care of our health as post-ops. It also helped me so much to read the journal of others who had the surgery before me. I learned a lot of what to do and what to avoid as well as what to expect both emotionally and physically that way. If there is ever anything I can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask. Those that have been there and done that are eager to share in the joys and try to help those behind us avoid the pitfalls of this journey.
