Okay....I am starting to figure out I have trigger foods...took me 17 mos to see a pattern! I really love sweets. I made SF cheesecake and would have eaten it all myself if I didn't find a friend to help. This weekend I was home because of the blasted cold and I made......SF chocolate cake! Hubby said why are you doing this...I DUNNO. The only thing I could think of is I wanted a comfort food because I was sick...Okay cold go away! So now I know one category of triggers for me is cakes and such.....Now its your turn!............ Debbie

Ideas of what you are doing to keep away from the trigger foods would be helpful to add to your discussion... Me I am trying the freezer thing...its frozen so I can't have it right away. Perhaps the craving will pass before it thaws

Great thread! I really don't have trigger foods yet. I have eaten a little regular cake, cookies & stuff but I limit them. I try to keep my serving to within the 6g of sugar per serving. I'm really not eating enough yet to have it affect my weightloss. I never make the 1000 calorie per day limits and have been told repeatedly to increase my fat intake so I do very little fat free foods. This whole WLS thing is for me being about adjustments. You have to adjust your diet for everything (either increasing or decreasing) you put in your mouth. I just make sure I get in my 90g of protein BEFORE I eat anything that's not protein related.

You are doing good! I think I was once like that.....I got to the point I can eat more and I am not liking it. Although give me sweets any day and tell me there is protein in it and I will justify it some way! LOL. Beware of the further out syndrome....its a bear! Debbie

Debbie, I too like the sweets. So far I have been able to eat one bite of cake or cookie and 1 piece of candy. I am worried about the future. I am trying not to even eat sugar free because that, I am afraid will get me into bad habits. What do other people do to stay away from the sweets. I have always craved sweets way before real food. In the past if there was steak, lobster and birthday cake, guess which one I would have choosen first? Ellen
