Test Update

My test was yesterday. My appt was for 11, they took me at 3? Nothing like timeliness! This was not a pain free test. ugh. After the test I found out that it is my job to lay flat on my back for 24 hours. I was told the drive home was ok, and sitting every now and then was ok but not for too long. All other times I have to be on my back. Try telling a side sleeper she was to sleep on her back. Then try to make that happen lol. From what we saw yesterday, of course not the official results and not indicative of the entire test, everything looks fine. So for now, it appears I am going to fall into that 3 - 4 % that just won't get their leg back. ugh But, we will do what we need to do and adjust accordingly Thank you for your prayers!! Gigee

Gigee, I play football all night long. I toss and turn. Flip & flop. I found if I put pillows under my knees I sleep more sound and stable. Lots less movement. God Bless you. God will give you the strength you need. If I can do anything to help my friend, please let me know. Elissa

What time is your appointment today? I'm still praying for you I wasn't allowed the knee bend in these 24 hours, can you believe that? No pressure at all on the spine to help that puncture close up. Now being a side sleeper I kept waking up to find myself on my side. We'll see if I was on my back enough. He said that if I were to get the spinal headaches from the spinal fluid leakage, that it would begin tonight. yeeehawww.. the modern miracles of medicine lol You can go shoe shopping with me. I"m going to have to find more comfortable shoes to wear with this brace lol. Gigee

Don't give up, Gigee!! My husband had two back surgeries due to disc problems and, boy, does he remember what that was like!!! Actually he does have numbness around his shin bone that has never left. I know it looks like you might not get everything back in your leg but right now but keep trying, you may be surprised. I know you have alot of people praying for you and prayers can work miracles so.......hang in there!!!! We will pray for you to. Remember the human body can be very fiesty sometimes!!! IT dictates what, when, how, etc., most of the time. Maybe your body just needs more time - everyone is different! Good Luck with everything!! Take care and God Bless!!

The MRI I had done 3 weeks ago is already showing post operative fibrosis but they do not feel at this time it is bad enough to be cause the regression I am experiencing. Now we wait, I have another year of nerve healing to go Thank you for all your encouragement! Gigee

Time has taken care of the attitude, now it's a wait and see what time does for the leg. They were concerned about some regression I've had, hence the test to make sure there wasn't other compression going on back there. I still have a year to go on nerve healing. We'll see where that brings me! Thank you Joanne! Gigee
