Changes & Update
Once upon a time I knew the folks who frequented this board for support and encouragement and kinship, so I thought I'd drop in and read up and leave an updated post. It's been a busy several months, most of which I spent galavanting around Europe--and traveling post-op was no sweat, if a little extra bulky because of hauling protein. Easy breezy.
I'm currently about 8 months out and am having a (knock on wood) flawless time of things. I feel tremendous and haven't encountered any problems. I can eat everything I've tried; I've only dumped a couple of times; I've no problems with liquids or proteins; I've so much energy I don't know how I wasn't medicated as a child. My highest weight was about 325. I went into surgery at 280. I'm currently resting right around 160. HA! 160. What kind of number is that?! Heh. This operation has been the best thing I ever could have possibly done for myself.
Hopefully I'll get around to posting a current picture and even better, show up at PMRI one of these days! It's good to read up on old friends, see lots of new names and faces, and let you know how I'm faring. All good things!

Susane, Gosh you must have heard us wondering how you are???? Hadn't heard anything all summer. WOW!!! 160 lbs. You go girl. Hey Let me know what meeting you will be at. I still have those beads for you to make some medical ID bracelets if you have the time. So good to see you are alive and well. I bet Europe was a blast. TT you soon. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Susane, I have been asking everyone I could think of how you were doing? Nobody seemed to know what was happening with you. I am so glad you posted. You are doing fantastic. I had my surgery in June and I am down 70 lbs and like you have not had any complications. I am sooooooooooo grateful!!!. I hope you do come to a PMRI meeting soon. I am not sure I would reconize you so be sure to wear a nametag.
