1. A friend I know contacted me through OH this weekend, turns out she's looking into surgery, should Patty Stevens get on here, please give her a warm reception (like you need to be asked LOL) 2. For those of you who work, or have a hard time eating, how do you get in the protein? I've found that if I don't drink a protein shake that I won't make the 100g by a long shot, and usually need 2 to get to the 100 level. This morning, I ate a protein bar for breakfast thinking it would be a good jolt to my system, I could only eat a third of it, yes 1/3 of this small bar... If it isn't liquid, it's difficult to eat... any tips? Thanks all, love you! HUGS Rachel

I get my protein in thru drinks. (Nectar products RULE) I absolutely cannot eat enough solids to get the required amount in. I keep frozen dinners, etc. at work. Today I had the rest of my Chicken Alfredo Lean Cuisene from friday and I still threw away some of it. I really LOVE the South Beach Diet Wraps (don't freeze them). They have 2 little whole wheat tortillas, a pouch of meat, a pouch of cheese, a pouch or sauce (or whatever) and a SF jello. One of the wraps is the perfect size for me. I don't do well on regular breads. I eat crackers, tortillas, flatbreads, etc. whenever I want a sandwich. I also keep Dannon light & fit with fiber yogurts, canned soups, chilli, raviolli, etc. at work and protein bars in my desk. I just found Slimfast protein granola bars over the weekend. I can't eat a whole one but they are very good. Oh and I keep cartons of eggbeaters at work too. They're great in the microwave.

Hi Dee... I had one of the south beach wraps at lunch today and puked from it, I can't handle the tortilla yet and it kills me, but about half of the stuff ya put in it was lunch, and the other half will be lunch tomorrow. I tried the Nectar drinks, I can't handle them, they make me queasier than I am now (tried a meatball for dinner and it came up sooooooo fast) I can't keep yogurt in my system (couldn't before surgery either) and anything except chips seem to want to come right back up... so I'm tryin to make the chips at least soy so they have protein. I can only eat half of the South Beach meal replacement bars at a time (about one oz for those not familiar with them) and other than that, cream of soups, chili, or other mostly brothy things are all that really go down and stay down, I am getting frustrated... I can't even manage to drink any flavor of drink other than chocolate protein shakes... the fruit ones make me nauseated, anything mixed with it makes me ill... I'm going nuts here! Anyone with meal suggestions for someone with a VERY touchy pouch? HUGS Rachel

The power crunch bar is lite and you can probably eat 1/2 for a meal. How about Cottage Cheese Doubles....You get fruit and cottage cheese. Most people don't like it but I love it. Also cheese...the power of the cheese stick. 7 grams! Not alot too! How are you doing with chicken? Oatmeal for fiber and protein...yummy on these cold mornings. Do you do eggs? I was the complete opposite with protein shakes. I found the milk based ones hard to handle. Pouch did not like them at all. I do the Nectar. I use it with Fruit 20 to give it a better fruiter flavor. I also use it with 8 oz of fluid. Not to thick and not to thin. Good luck on your choices. Debbie
