Hello all. This is Jo's husband, Bill. I just wanted to say that I am proud of everyone in all that are going through during these times. I give you all my support and prayers. I support my wife so much through all this. I have gone to every class she has had and every doctors appt. I have even stayed in the hospital as long as I could until they kicked me out. I was there almost as long as she was during that two weeks. We did bring a little travel trailer with us and was allowed to park it in the back parking lot. Which is where I slept when she didn't have a private room. But the most proof of dedication that I can show is that I have prepared every meal for her and it is the same meal that I eat. Yes, I am eating the puree diet too. My portion is only about 1-2 ounces larger than hers. It is harder for me to do this because I didn't have a shrinkage in the stomach. But after almost a month, I can't eat normal portions again. It has shrunk on its own. So I have been losing weight too. It is my love for her that is getting me to stick to this diet and showing that we both can get through this. I was actually thinking of having the proceedure myself. I weighed 255 lbs, with high blood pressure, veinous staisus disorder, sleep apnea, back problems. I have weighed myself today and in the almost 1 month mark, I am down to 237 lbs.. I have lost 18 lbs.. I feel better and I know that she will feel so much better when she gets the drain out and stops having to take all these antibiotics. I am going to go now, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I support you and encourage you. Congrats to you all. And for my wife. Bill

That's great about your weight loss Bill And what a sweet guy supporting your wife the way you are. You are a great husband. My hubby has said that he is going to try and eat the pureed diet with me as well. It makes this whole journey so much better when you have a good support system. Robyn

Bill, Way to go! I really am happy that you are so supportive of Jo. Both of you are just so unique. I know you love that veinous stasus disorder. It is just so much fun to deal with. We need to talk about that sometime! I wish you and Jo the best of luck! Kevin

Jo, You are so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. It started my day on such a positive note to hear all the support he has given you. The journey is long and sometimes rocky, but you will be successful with a partner like him by your side. Have a great day. Ellen

Bill, Congratulations on your wonderful weight loss as well as your love for your dear wife. Your help, support and eating well with your wife will certainly make her wl road an easier journey. That can be my biggest "eating" struggle; when I am around other loved ones who continue to munch on the junk. Your love for your wife shines through your post. You are a blessed couple. May you both have a wonderful journey together on this road to fitness. Tammy

Bill, You remind me of my hubby. His name is Tim....Big supporter of me and my WLS friends! He has lost 50 lbs since June 2004 when I had my surgery. He didn't go to the extent of eating puree with me! LOL. He is my food police and he helps me keep on track. Its very important to have someone help you with this journey. Its so easy to get off track! Especially further out. Congrats to you both! Debbie
