Hi all! I saw my Primary Care Physician today. He was very pleased with my progress. He said the weight loss will slow down considerably and to keep a watch that it doesn't start creeping back up. I'm diabetic and off ALL my diabetes medications. My hemoglobin A1C is now 5.5 which is VERY good! It should be below 7. My fasting glucose was 108. Normal is below 120. He said to keep it up and he'll see me in 4 months. He was very surprised to hear that Dr. Smoot is retiring. My PCP is the one that referred me to Dr. Smoot. As far as my liver issues (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and cirrhosis), there's no cure, but treatment is weight loss and exercise which I am doing. All said, it was a good visit. Today is a good day. God is watching out for me. Jean
