Update on Bonnie & Vicki Miller
If anyone is interested Vicki Miller is in room 3117 and her mother Bonnie is in room 4006 at Christiana Hospital. Vicki had two hernia's removed yesterday, they had no idea where the second one was hiding but she is recooperating. Please keep them both in your thoughts and Prayers. Also, did anyone catch the special on the Today Show on Thursday Morning, i was told by a friend, that new research is out and they found that 41% of the people who have Gastric Bypass end up back in the hospital within a year with complications. Let's all keep our fingers crossed it doesnt happen to any of us or someone we know!
Kenn, I called the hospital last night and both Bonnie and Vicki were released yesterday. I know that was good news !!!!! I didn't catch the show but wish I did. Did they give a % of people with complications that were corrected or fatal? Did they name the complications and how corrected? I personally think there should be primary care physisians who specialize or know more about Gastric Bypass. I know when I have a problem I don't feel comforable going to my ppc, for he knows nothing about our complications or meds we can and can not take. So for this reason it is so important that we as patients are educated and pass information on to our ppc's. If you do know of a ppc that is educated in this area please let me know for I know of none. Take care. See you lighter. Joanne
