Unknown benefits of my WLS

Now that I've lost 50 pounds, I've noticed a pleasant change in my family. I had my daughter to the Dr. for her yearly checkup last week. (Background: The school nurse sent a note home last year saying that Chelsea was in danger of becoming obese. Her Dr. said that according to the chart she was in the top 95% for her weight. ) Well this year she has dropped down to the 75% for her weight. The Dr. asked what I was doing (she knows about my WLS). I told her that I hadn't had a soda in the house since last May, I don't put juice boxes in her lunch anymore, just a thermos of crystal light or a bottle of flavored water, I do not buy munchies any more either. The only bad thing I buy is hard pretzels and SF ice cream or popcicles. Needless to say she was thrilled. I also noticed my hubby the other day (not that I don't notice him every day, you know what I mean!!!). He has noticably lost weight. I know, those of you whom have seen him eat will never believe this, but I assure you it is true! He started a new job last month that keeps him on his feet all day. Well I had to buy him some new pants for work. I purchased a 32 waist. When he got home, he refused to try them on and insisted that we go back to the store and exchange them for 34's. (I kpet telling him he was skinnier, but he wouldn't listen) When we got to the store, I put my foot down and insisted that he try on the 34's before we exchanged them. Guess what, the 34's were way too big. So we kept the 32's that I originally purchased. Mamma knows best! So not only am I getting healthier, but my family is too. Just thought I'd share this added benefit.

Hi there Dee, This is truely a Miracle. Sounds like everybody will benefit and be healthier. My husband is a little upset, cause he has gained about 15 lbs. all in the belly. He is working at getting it off. Now if he would stop the ice cream he could get it off quicker. I guess I shouldn't buy it anymore. I thin****ep sabotaging him. Elissa

If he's an ice cream fan, I bought the Breyers fat free, no sugar added (splenda sweetened) butter pecan ice cream. It's really good. Give it a try.

Don't tell anyone, but I have spoiled him rotten and he loves it. He is a keeper. After a rotten 1st 12 yrs, single 12 yrs and remarried 12, I think I finally found a man that will tolerate all my nonsense. He spoils me too sometimes. I got 5 wks in Hawaii last spring. He got me a lil red t-bird. Oh let me count the ways. E
