Hi Everyone, I am ashamed to admit that I have been a slacker with the exercise, I haven't walked or exercised in any form for about 2 weeks. Friday, I decided to go to the YMCA and cram two weeks of exercise in one day. Well, I have rubber legs, to show for it. I came to work this morning and weighed myself, I have gained 2 pounds, so I recorded it, and at 10:00 break I made myself walk for 10 minutes, it actually felt good to be walking again. But, I still have rubber legs. I have set a goal for myself, to loose 18 pounds by Christamas that will put me in the 100's. So I will take any advise, scolding, or incouragement, you guys have to give. Thanks for listening. Dana

It happens, Dana. Don't beat yourself up. The fact that you have picked yourself back up, dusted yourself off, and jumped right back in the race says everything.

Just by admitting to your problem you have it 50% licked! You go girl, don't overdo it! You don't want to hurt yourself. Remember your muscles need 24 hours to recover from a work out. Dee

Hi Julie! I too have 15 pounds to go to reach 100. I also want to have that gone by Christmas. We seem to be on the same schedule! I have 10 pounds to lose and I'll be at the weight I was when I got pregnant with Charlie. Can you believe, he'll be 25 in February! I'd like to join the cheering squad too! Let's go! The countdown to 100 is on! Jean PS - Tell your Mom I said HI and that she looks terrific!

Dana, Give me a call if you are interested in a kick butt partner. I intended to hit Y this afternoon or evening. I have a 5 K this weekend and need some serious training if I actually think I can pull it off!!! At any rate, I would love to have someone to kick me in the butt and vice versa. I have some plans, but hopefully can work around them to get to the gym at the same time if you are interested? Just let me know asap so I can start to Now about being bad ... girl ... can't speak for anyone else ... but truly it can be a struggle for me as well. It is funny ... I LOVE to exercise and yet if something happens and I get off schedule ... sometimes it takes a while (and usually a couple pound gain on the scales, before I am able to get back at it and get serious). You have done an excellent job thus far ... AND you will continue doing so! Hugs, Tammy

Dianne and Dana, Thanks so much for the encouragment, but sad to say, the run is off. A dear friend passed away early this morning and her funeral is Saturday morning (same time as the run). Needless to say, as important as the run was to me, being there for the final goodbye to our friend is far more important. With the passing of my friend, I am once again reminded of the wonderful blessing we have all been given to not only have a second chance at life but to have a chance of a life full of life, ya know? Hugs those who are important to you, we are never promised tomorrow. Hugs, Tammy

Oh Tammy, I looked at this too late, I am going to therapy three times a week after work. I will have to wait until I am done, because by the time I get out of therapy (Elkton) and get to the Y it would probally be around 6:30-7:00. Keep in touch, and best of luck on your 5K I am proud of you. Dana
