Ralph Tucker's Surgery
My nephew Ralph Tucker had his surgery yesterday. He is doing well. Says he has pain where his drain is in and has a blader infection from the cathitor but other wise is doing fine. He will be coming home tomorrow hopefully. He now understands them small sips we all had to start with. He says he likes the ice chips better. I never did ice chips so don't know that part. I just remember I wanted coffee and didn't get any until I got home from the hospital 5 days later. And it taste like crap. Does this bring back memories for anyone? See all lighter. Joanne
Christie, I will tell Ralph. I am so excited for him and can't wait to see him face to face. He told me at the picnic that he couldn't beleive I could eat so little and be full. I told him we would finish the conversation 1 month after he had surgery. Can't wait. I am so proud of him . He has supported me 100% in my decision and I will be there for him. We had different Drs who beleive in different things so it is interesting to compare notes. I have learned so much from all of you guys too. Are you saying you do drink decaf coffee? I know it is better for you. Coffee is my favorite drink especially the flavored kind. My favorite is Blueberry Dream. I always stop on my way to Dr. Kirkpatric's office. Near the bay bridge this gas station has it all the time. I haven't found it here yet. See you lighter. Joanne
Christie, Ralph and his wife were with me at the picnic. Or should I say I was with them since he drove me up there. He did come home today. He says his stomach is really hurting and he is sleeping alot but he slept alot before surgery. I really can't relate for I was in the hospital for 5 days after my surgery on a morphine pump. I had no drain either but I had open surgery. My prayers and thoughts are with him. See you lighter. Joanne
