Bonnie's Nurse

Hi Everyone: I went to see Bonnie this evening. I thought she looked good. Her color was back and she seemed to be in good spirits. While I was in the room the nurse came in to administer Bonnie's medication. The nurse mumbles, "this is why I hate this surgery". Bonnie asked her what she meant, and the nurse proceeded to tell us about all the complications that she has seen from GBS. We were lost for words. There is a time and place and tonight wasn't the night. I felt so bad for Bonnie. You could tell Bonnie was uncomfortable but she tried to bru**** off and smile while I walked out with nerve bumps. Please keep Bonnie in your prayers. Kim S

Kim, Do you remember the name of the nurse? I would be more than happy to call the floor supervisor and complain. The same thing happened to me the day after surgery. The nurse told me all the horror stories of this surgery. Nurses are supposed to be compassionate. I don't think that added stress helped Bonnie at all. I say, let's be rebels. We should all complain to the hospital. Best wishes, Deb

Hi Deb: I thought of that after I got home. I really wanted to confront her when I left but I didn't want to do anything to upset Bonnie. She worked last night 9/26 on the 3:00 - 11:00 shift. Very attractive, thin young blonde. I hope this helps. Kim
