Is your Dr. Happy You have a Hernia?

Hi all, I went to the Drs today about my hernia. To my surprize he said he was glad I had it. Of course I looked at him like he was crazy, Then he explained that insurance sometimes will not pay for a tummy tuck but they will pay for hernia repair. He said as long as it does not bother me and can be pushed in it will be ok. He said lets just wait until I finish lossing and then we will kill two birds with one stone and get it covered by insurance. Anyone else have this experience? Please let me know. See all lighter. Hey Joanne! I told my doc today when I went in for my pink eye (yes, pink eye) that I had a bulge at the belly button, he said "that's great!" I shocked him by saying, "Yeah, cuz if I can keep it under control until I lose the weight I can have it fixed and get the TT at the same time" he seemed stunned that I already knew it! LOL... Gonna get the hernia checked out on Friday though... hope by then my eye is better, we're seriously thinking that it's being caused by the lovenox though since I don't have any itching or burning etc... Too much blood flowing in my eye... ewwww... Okay on that note... Hugs Rachel

Yea, I had a hernia before surgery, and they told me that was a good thing, they just check it every time I go in. It doesn't give me any pain. So, I guess when it is time, I will have it repaired and a tt. Take care, Dana
