Hernia

Hi all, I started phyical theropy on Wednesday to strengthen my leg muscles. That night I noticed a bulge above my incision. A nurse told me it appeared to be a hernia. I have a Dr. Appointment on Monday to get it checked out. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it command with the surgery? I was upset at first but now I am looking at it as another bump in the road on this journey. Hope all is well and makes the picnic Saturday. See all lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne, I have a belly botton hernia, I had it years before surgery, the doctors check it and document it, it will be a ticket for a tt when the time comes, the doctors will fix it then invite the plastic surgeon to do the tt, when finished. Right now it doesn't bother me, sometimes when lifting something heavy, I can feel it, but not a constant pain. Take care, and keep us posted on it. Hope to see you at the picnic. Dana

I just found out that I have one too. The most thing that bothers me about it is that it has made my stomach 3 inches bigger!
